Agreement to Terms

By using Miniowl ("Service"), a product of Journely LLC operated from Tokyo, Japan, you ("User," "you") agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you disagree with any part of these Terms, you must not use our Service.

Eligibility

To use Miniowl, you must:

  • Be at least 18 years old
  • Have the legal capacity to enter into binding contracts
  • Not be prohibited from using the Service under applicable laws
  • Provide accurate registration information

Description of Service

Miniowl is a macOS application that tracks your activity and provides insights about your time usage. The service includes:

  • Local activity tracking on your Mac
  • Optional cloud-based categorization services
  • Web dashboard for viewing activity insights

Free Tier and Paid Plans

Miniowl offers both free and paid tiers:

  • Free Tier: Local activity tracking with no cloud features
  • Paid Plans: Starting at $5/month for cloud categorization and insights

Pricing is subject to change with 30 days notice to existing subscribers.

Acceptable Use

You agree NOT to:

  • Use the Service for any unlawful purpose
  • Attempt to gain unauthorized access to our systems
  • Reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble the software
  • Share your account credentials with others
  • Use the Service to harass, abuse, or harm others
  • Violate any applicable laws or regulations

Payment and Refunds

For paid plans:

  • Payments are processed monthly in advance
  • You may cancel your subscription at any time
  • Refunds are available within 7 days of payment for any reason
  • No refunds for partial months after the 7-day period
  • All prices are in USD unless otherwise stated

Privacy and Data

Your privacy is important to us. Please review our Privacy Policy to understand how we collect, use, and protect your data. By using Miniowl, you consent to the collection and use of information as described in our Privacy Policy.

Service Availability

We strive to provide reliable service but do not guarantee:

  • 100% uptime or uninterrupted access
  • Error-free operation
  • Compatibility with all Mac configurations

We may perform maintenance that temporarily affects service availability.

Termination

We may terminate or suspend your account at any time for:

  • Violation of these Terms
  • Fraudulent or illegal activity
  • Non-payment of fees

You may terminate your account at any time by contacting us or deleting the application.

Disclaimer of Warranties

Miniowl is provided "AS IS" without warranties of any kind. We disclaim all warranties, express or implied, including but not limited to warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.

Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Journely LLC shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of Miniowl.

Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of Japan. Any disputes will be resolved in the courts of Tokyo, Japan.

Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify you of any material changes by posting the new Terms on this page and updating the "Last updated" date.
